About Leah
I graduated with a degree in international environmental journalism. Then worked as a reporter and editor for two community newspapers in Chicago, where I started writing artist profiles. I was hired as an editor/writer for an arts and entertainment magazine, part of an international chain, where I also periodically wrote about science and community-related topics. I fine-tuned my knack for the first-person story and product reviews—and also indulged in one of my favorite parts of journalism and writing: the interview. Nowadays I write about everything from ways to bolster your brain, to gadgets to grab for the road. I love punchy one-liners, classic profiles, but also the cut-and-dry news story. I like being versatile.
